Meh, The physics still sucks in cryengine. Even games like the force unleashed had better physics. And it looks more or less like its previous version. I can't believe they showed a whole movie telling us that we can shoot leaves.
Didn't they do this the first time, while releasing trailers for crysis. I like the game very much but instead on improving gameplay, physics, action sequences the crytek work their *** off improving graphics.
Why don't they surprise us with innovating gameplay or some epic story. Even if people don't agree with me, given the choice I would prefer to play MW2 (both SP and MP) then play crysis.
For such a talented studio their potential is wasted prettying up FPS rather than redefining it.
@Fanboy disscussion: PC wil always have the best graphics, simpely cause you can upgrade the hardware. And all the people who are saying ps3 looks better or xbox look better. Really you can't say someting like that only by seeing a low quality video...
Kinda sad that they didn't show any PC footage at all. But yea, I definitely gotta say the PS3 graphics looks significantly better. Can't wait to see some PC footage though, that will look better then either system.
everyone should stop arguing over which has better graphics between the ps3 and the 360. Pc is definitely the best looking but ps3 and 360 have ust about equal graphics. imo ps3 has better graphics cuz of killzone 2 and uncharted 2.
That will be a let down for PC version games because consoles only have 512MB memory unlike the PC it can handle alot more and the RAM prices are not that high. imagine a game that uses 4 or 5 GB of ram it will be cool.
I think everyone is failing to see the major points of this fantastic game engine.
Firstly, this video was released at the gdc WAAAYYY back in March, and the CryEngine 3 is only now just being released, which means that there have been far greater refinements to the engine in that time to ensure that it runs optimally on all platforms.
Secondly, and MOST importantly, it amazes me that many people here on gamespot can't see past the blinders on either side of their heads and realise that this is a fantastic step in the right direction. For once, we have a game engine that will allow games to be built on multiple game platforms, so that porting will become an issue of the past. I don't know how many times, i've waited for up to a year for a game to be ported to PC, only to find that it is filled with a **** load of bugs. This will solve that, and i'm extremely glad for it, and on top of that, it should theoretically mean that game developers will be more willing to cast their games across all three platforms. This means more game variety, and that is a good thing for people like me who are UNBIASED in their opinions on platforms.
"The ultimate ignorance is the refusal of something you know nothing about and refuse to investigate"
And so the system wars begin anew. The Crysis lovers for the PC cast the first stone, to annoy the PS3 clan, and then did the church of Xbox 360 cast their vengeance upon the PS3 in retaliation.
Pc obviously will have the best graphics than the consoles games but ps3 is alot better than 360. if you compare metal gear solid and uncharted to what 360 have to offer there is a big difference, the 360 could not produce that kind of graphical quality.
And i have both in my house also my own pc i use for games and to the 4k comment that is very stupid. If someone spent 4k on a pc don't even dare mention the word console in the same sentence. A 4k pc will s#*t on a ps3 and 360.
They dumbed it down for consoles, they didn't make it scalable I'm just hoping for some badass version for the PC cuz so far what I see looks worse than the cryengine two
@knifenkill They didn't dumb it down, they made it scalable.
@esgyear You sir are obviously insane. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about and have never bothered to look at prices of PC's, PC parts, or what you would realistically require to run Crysis.
4k if you are retarded and order one to be built for you. You can easily build a comp that can run Crysis at max for under 2k, and for how much better it looks the price is worth it.
